Our website address is http://www.10000toes.com The 10,000 Toes Campaign is a joint campaign of ADRA Australia Limited and Adventist Health, a department of the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
The 10,000 Toes Campaign complies with the requirements of the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles in the collection, management, use and disclosure of personal information.
Personal information is information or an opinion that can be used to identify you. This includes any personal information we collect from you when dealing with you in relation to the 10,000 Toes Campaign. It may include, but is not limited to, your name, address, contact details including your email address, and any additional information you provide to us directly or indirectly through a website or via a representative.
In accordance with the Privacy Act, the 10,000 Toes Campaign only collects personal information that is reasonably necessary in order for us to undertake the Campaign. We collect your information in order to manage our dealings with you and to give you information about the Campaign. Where possible, the 10,000 Toes Campaign will allow you to remain anonymous or to use a pseudonym when communicating or dealing with us, unless we are required or authorised by an Australian law to ask you to identify yourself, or it is impractical for us to deal with you while you remain anonymous or use a pseudonym.
Disclosure of Personal Data
We may disclose your information to:
- related bodies corporate, contractors or other business support providers for the purposes of the operation of our Campaign and to use services such as administration, document storage, printing and mail services, couriers, payment system operators and authorised professional advisers such as accountants, solicitors, and consultants;
- your financial adviser or other third-party appointed by you;
- our data hosting and IT service providers, who may be located or store data in other countries;
- as required by law, to government bodies such as the Australian Taxation Office, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC.)
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help spam detection. See ‘Cookies’ below.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave information on the contact forms on this site, it will only be used for contacting you and will not be disclosed to any third party other than as described in this Privacy Policy.

Data collected by this site may be shared with the coordinators of the 10,000 Toes Campaign. They are ADRA Australia and the Adventist Health department of the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Your data will not be shared with any other third party other than as described in this Privacy Policy.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata will be retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically, instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Your rights over your data
The 10,000 Toes Campaign will take reasonable steps to ensure the quality of your personal information at two points in the information handling process: (i) collection and (ii) use or disclosure.

This may include notifying both you and the Privacy Commissioner where that breach is likely to result in serious harm as defined by the Privacy Act.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
The 10,000 Toes Campaign may apply analytics to data from our website (including your personal information) to describe, predict, and improve Campaign performance.
Direct Marketing
The 10,000 Toes Campaign may send you direct marketing information about our Campaign that may be of interest to you. These communications may be sent in various forms including mail and electronic media which do not infringe marketing laws such as the Australian Spam Act 2003. If you indicate a preference for a method of communication, we will endeavour to use that method. In addition, at any time you may opt-out of receiving marketing information from the 10,000 Toes Campaign by using the opt-out facilities provided within the marketing communications.

For some 10,000 Toes Campaign-related purposes we may outsource some activities and may disclose personal information to our related bodies corporate and third party service providers in countries within the South Pacific region.
