Date and Orange Slice is an easy to do treat with a sweet and tangy flavour and a hint of spice that melts in your mouth. Using whole and un-refined ingredients you won’t have to feel guilty sharing this dessert around. Keeping food as close as possible to their whole and natural state increases the fibre content into every meal.
High fibre diets have been shown to prevent many diseases such as diabetes, cancer and heart disease. But it is important for you to know that you can only obtain fibre from plant food sources, as meat and animal products contain nil fibre. Simple ways to do this is to opt for fruit juice that includes the pulp, having smoothies with your breakfast in the morning and using the whole fruit in desserts-not just the juice.
