Set Apart Conference in Fiji
We had an incredibly productive week in Fiji, engaging with many wonderful people. Join us as we share our exciting itinerary:
Day 1
Our journey started with an inspiring visit to Fulton University College, where an empowering week of health training began, and we had the opportunity to admire our brand-new Wellness Hub signs.
Day 2
At sunrise, the 10,000 Toes Campaign team was ready to screen 400 participants at the Set Apart Conference 2024. Our comprehensive health screening includes measuring height and weight, checking blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol, and providing consultations.
Our free health checks are incredibly popular and raise awareness of various health conditions, including diabetes and other chronic diseases.
Did you know that every 20 minutes, an amputation occurs in the South Pacific due to diabetes or other non-communicable diseases? The more people we reach, the more lives we can transform through health.
Day 3
We enjoyed aiding others during the Set Apartment Conference and witnessing their joyful smiles. Our commitment to advocating for a healthy lifestyle is unshakable.
Day 4
In Fiji, the 10,000 Toes Campaign is taking action to combat the crisis of chronic diseases by producing healthy juices. We have partnered with Bitu Wellness Bar, which supported us at the Set Apart Conference by helping raise funds for our community health projects. Throughout the training week, we successfully sold numerous litres of nutritious and delicious juices.
Day 5
We actively engage with people and communities, seizing every moment to listen to their stories, providing essential health screenings, and training passionate health advocates and professionals. Our locally trained Ambassadors are dedicated to driving positive transformations in lives.
Day 6
We are dedicated to advancing health education by organising workshops and training for local Ambassadors and health enthusiasts. Their invaluable support is instrumental in helping us to connect with and educate communities across the South Pacific about the vital importance of health.
Day 7
On the last day of our Fiji trip, we had the honour of opening the Narewa Wellness Hub. This unique hub, built on land donated by the local chief, provided an incredible opportunity to connect with the entire local community. It was a fantastic experience for all ages.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all our donors for their incredible support. Thanks to your generous contributions, the 10,000 Toes Campaign was able to furnish the newly opened Nawera Wellness Hub in Fiji with essential crockery and cooking items. As illustrated by Pamela Townend, Campaign Coordinator, these items may seem ordinary, but they make a remarkable difference in the lives of local villagers.
Our commitment to providing health support to those in need remains unwavering. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the fight against diabetes and other non-communicable diseases across the South Pacific. Every single donation has the power to transform someone’s life.
