George Kwong, our Regional Ambassador for the Trans-Pacific and Fiji, recently returned from a successful visit to Tuvalu, where he held an impactful first meeting with the Minister of Health. This significant encounter focused on the 10,000 Toes Campaign and its crucial role in improving health by addressing diabetes and other non-communicable diseases in this small but vibrant nation.
Empowering Local Communities
During the meeting, George and the Minister of Health discussed the pressing health challenges faced by Tuvalu, including the rising rates of diabetes, which pose a significant threat to the population’s well-being.
Together, they explored strategies to enhance health education and community engagement, aiming to implement effective solutions tailored to the needs of Tuvalu’s citizens.
We’re thrilled to announce that 20 new Tuvalu Ambassadors have successfully completed their training for the 10,000 Toes Campaign! These dedicated individuals are now equipped with the knowledge and resources necessary to drive positive health changes in their communities.
They will work tirelessly to promote healthier lifestyles and empower their neighbours to take control of their health.
A Cultural Jewel in the Pacific

The islands are celebrated for their lively dances, vibrant music, and intricate crafts, which reflect the spirit and resilience of the Tuvaluan community. With nine beautiful coral islands nestled in the Pacific Ocean, Tuvalu offers a stunning backdrop for our health initiatives.
As we embark on this journey, we invite you to join us in making a meaningful difference in this unique and charming nation. Your support is crucial in helping us extend our reach and implement vital health programs that can transform lives.
