With great sadness, we announce the passing of Vilitati Ralulu, known to many as Bill. Bill was a dedicated Ambassador for the 10,000 Toes Campaign, spending the last eight months of his life supporting our mission.
Bill holds a special place in our hearts as the first Ambassador from Fiji to pass away. In his final request, Bill asked for a photo of himself wearing his 10,000 Toes Campaign t-shirt to be featured on the cover of his funeral program, reflecting his pride in being part of our work.
Although Bill had no immediate family, The 10,000 Toes Campaign family came together to cover his funeral expenses. This collective effort is a testament to the deep connections formed through this initiative.
Ambassadors like Bill show how shared purpose and genuine care can build lasting relationships beyond geographical and cultural boundaries. Though often not the focus of attention, the bonds formed in our campaign are some of the most meaningful outcomes of our work.
Bill’s story reminds us of compassion and collaboration’s profound impact on individuals and communities. The 10,000 Toes Campaign has become more than just a health initiative; it has grown into a family that connects people across the South Pacific.
As we remember Bill, we also honour the unity and support he helped build within our community. His legacy will continue to inspire us as we carry forward the campaign’s mission.
Rest in peace, Bill.
