Ro'ohua Youth Ambassadors

Meet the amazing Ro’ohua Youth 10,000 Toes Campaign Ambassadors and learn about the incredible work they are doing in the Tawaiabu community, Makira!

These young volunteers are doing incredible things to assist their communities, and we are so proud of the leadership they have shown in addressing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and increasing awareness about diabetes.

Armed with their 10,000 Toes Campaign backpacks—filled with essential health check tools—they’ve been out in the field conducting NCD health screenings to ensure that people in the community are aware of the risks and can access the health screenings they need.

Ro’ohua, located in the Solomon Islands’ Makira province, is just one of many communities where our Youth Ambassadors are making a real difference. Their commitment to helping others and spreading knowledge about lifestyle diseases is truly inspiring, and their efforts are having a lasting impact in the fight against diabetes and other NCDs.

How You Can Help

While the work of our volunteers is inspiring, much more remains to be done. Our efforts to provide life-saving health screenings depend on support from people like you. Your donation will help us send more backpacks filled with health check tools to the islands of the South Pacific that need them most.

These backpacks are vital in helping communities gain access to the screenings and support they need to prevent and manage lifestyle diseases like diabetes. By donating today, you can be part of the solution and help save lives and limbs across the South Pacific.

We are incredibly proud of our Ro’ohua Youth Ambassadors and the difference they are making. Keep up the great work, team! Together, we can continue to bring health and hope to vulnerable communities.
