The effects of sitting: You may want to stand up for this!  Sitting is killing you.  In fact, 48% of men will die earlier if they sit for just six hours a day and if you’re a woman, 94%.  And that’s even if you have three hours of moving around.

Why? We have never sat this much in all of history.  Just 100 years ago, we were walking around 16 kilometres more every single day.  Now, we’re much lazier, moving 70% less than our great grandparents.

You may ask what’s so bad about that?

Well, the effects of sitting for just two hours will drop the good cholesterol in your blood by 20%, causing more bad cholesterol to take its place.

Sitting increases your risk of diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and cancer.

So stand up.

We burn triple the calories when moving in normal activities than we do when sitting.  It’s going to tone your muscles, improve your posture, increase your blood flow, ramp up your metabolism, burn extra calories, and increase your lifespan.

All you’ve gotta do is take short breaks every hour and exercise for 30 minutes a day.  Your body was crafted for movement so get up, move, and start living longer today.
