Successful Mega Health Clinic in PNG
PART 1
Experience the profound impact of the Mega Health Clinic in Papua New Guinea, where thousands of lives were forever changed. The 10,000 Toes Campaign partnered with Adventist World Radio (AWR360) on this massive healthcare initiative, bringing hope and transformation to local communities.
The dedicated team included:
- 400+ volunteers
- 175 international volunteers
- 250+ local volunteers
- Doctors, nurses, 10,000 Toes Ambassadors and local health workers
Together, they orchestrated a monumental effort to provide vital services, including:
- Diabetes screenings
- Dental care
- Cataract surgeries
- Women’s health
- Counselling, and
- Paediatric check-ups.
This wasn’t just about medical care but about restoring dignity and improving quality of life. Despite logistical challenges such as flight disruptions and adverse weather conditions, the Mega Health Clinic operated unwaveringly, and the medical volunteers remained steadfast in their mission.
