Toes around Bougainville, PNG
PART 2
Venturing deeper into Papua New Guinea, Pamela Townend, Campaign Coordinator, and our dedicated team recently set their sights on Bougainville—a pivotal moment for our campaign’s impact in this region with this first-ever visit to this part of PNG.
The journey was marked by purpose and determination. It began with a swift Balus plane flight to Buka, followed by a ferry crossing to Bougainville’s main island.
Across central Bougainville, we conducted free health screenings at four strategic locations, witnessing the transformative power of proactive healthcare firsthand. Stories abound of individuals embracing healthier lifestyles and reaping tangible health benefits.
Heartfelt gratitude goes out to our Bougainville 10,000 Toes Ambassadors, whose unwavering commitment to community health is truly inspiring. During a morning stroll, the team savoured the local culture and took in the sights of Awara, a bustling town of 36,000 people.
Explore the resounding success of our Mega Health Clinic in Papua New Guinea and be inspired by the stories of change and empowerment that continue to unfold.
